AMATEUR

  • This division enables all dancers the opportunity to participate. 

  • Dancers with less than 2 years (<2) practicing pole in heels and with a basic experience of Pole dancing.

  • Dancers who have never competed or have competed as amateurs without having won any 3-top placement in any other poledance/sport competitions or any higher competition in other divisions like Semi-pro, Professional or Elite.

  • You are NOT TO PLACE in the amateur division if you currently work or has worked as any dance instructor or received financial compensation for instructing or performing or any other kind of promotion. 

  • Prohibited elements *see definitions: One hand aerial elements, this includes aerial kips. Inverted tricks with only your hands as contact points (e.g Ayesha). Flips on and off the pole. Non floorbased kips for example handstand kips, aerial kips. Drops on the pole. Aerial deadlifts (not included aerial invert). If you were to perform these tricks you will receive a five point deduction (-5) by the head judge and will/might be judged against a higher division. 

  • Allowed tricks: Spins, inverts, aerial invert, leghangs, basic kips from floor, splitty tricks (e.g Jade on pole and floor-based) and shoulder mount. Pole tricks with at least three points of contact.
     

*Definitions:
Aerial kips with no heels or knees having contact with the floor during the execution. The entrance into these kips will count as executing the element, no matter if one knee is hooked on to the pole.

Handstand kips are kips executed upside down with one or both hands having contact with the pole or the floor or one hand contact with the pole and one hand contact with the floor at the same time.
Handstand kips is when your knees or heels has no contact with the floor during the execution, this counts as an aerial kip. No matter if one knee is hooked to the pole.

Aerial deadlifts (not included aerial inverts) e.g Ayesha with an aerial deadlift you hang into the element only with both hand contact or one hand and one elbow has contact to the pole.
The entrance into these elements will count as executing the element (e.g entrance from the floor or inverted from the pole)
